On your plastic mouthpiece, we recommend that you use a tooth protector, this will help protect the mouthpiece from bite marks and help with the longevity. We recommend that you wash your mouthpiece in warm soapy water, using something like a child’s soft toothbrush and something like baby shampoo. Wipe dry with a soft cloth and on clarinet mouthpiece allow the cork to air dry before using.

There are also several mouthpiece disinfectants on the market that work very well and should be used according to the manufacturer's direction.

On your hard rubber mouthpiece, we recommend that you use a tooth protector, this will help protect the mouthpiece from bite marks and help with the longevity. We recommend that you wash your mouthpiece in warm soapy water, using something like a child’s soft toothbrush and something like baby shampoo. Wipe dry with a soft cloth and on clarinet mouthpiece allow the cork to air dry before using. Once a week, under normal use, wipe the entire mouthpiece down inside and out with a light oil, such as coconut oil, olive oil, or vegetable oil. Let it sit for 10-24 hours, this will help keep its color and appearance. Do not apply heat to any part of this process.

On your metal mouthpiece, we recommend that you wash it with a warm soapy solution and dry it with a soft cloth. Most metal mouthpieces are plated with some sort of outer metal, such as 24ct. gold or sterling silver. If plating has worn off, whether due to time or adjusting you mouthpiece, we recommend that you have the mouthpiece re-plated for your protection. Due to possible exposure to a very small amount of lead in the base material.
