A native of Denton, Texas, Michael Stricklin began his formal musical journey at North Texas State University (now the University of North Texas) from 1975-1978, where he studied saxophone under the renowned James Riggs. His early exposure to different genres of music laid the groundwork for his versatile career as a saxophonist, flutist, and clarinetist. Stricklin’s rich, expressive sound is enhanced by his use of Meyer and Otto Link mouthpieces, a testament to his dedication to achieving the highest level of musical performance.
